Meet The Cast : Behind the scenes of The Neutronics Video Shoot for She's Gotta Be Pt 3

Greetings Earth Beans this is Supa Soul Brotha Del. coming at you Live and Funkdafied.

I thought today I would introduce you to The Neutronics and give you some background to our story. So here we go……

Supa Soul Brotha Del.

Well really there’s not much you guys don’t already know about Supa Soul Brotha Del. Born on Psychofunkadelia he was summoned to Earth to recruit Earth Beans to the Supa Soul Army in preparation for the impending interplanetary war against the Evil-Anti-Funk-Azoids. Although the Supa Soul Brotha owns several Weapons of Mass Funkification you are most likely to find him getting down with his All Black Fender Telecaster, this superb instrument has struck down many an Evil-Anti-Funk-Azoid and as such is often the focus of their frenzied attacks. But no matter what has happened, be it broken strings or damaged electrical wires and contacts, this sturdy sword of justice is an ever constant source fear to all Anti-Funk-Azoids in the known universe. The Legend of the Groove has it that this will be the instrument, which will one day strike the final funky blow into the heart of the Dark Lord Dr Poseur.

Milt ‘The Professor’ Mavrakakis
The Professor is universally regarded as one of the leading authorities on The Legend of the Groove. There are few Earth Beans who can claim to have amassed the vast amount of knowledge that resides within the brain cells of this man. Known to some as the human jukebox he possesses the uncanny ability to play almost any song requested even on the rare occasions when he himself hasn’t heard the song in question. His chosen Weapon of Mass Funkification is the Keyboard. With his canny melodies and electronic sythesizations he hypnotizes Evil-Anti-Funk-Azoids into orbit around his head full of funkiness and then in several violent and sudden headbanging movements he annihilates them into oblivion. Strangely the only side effects from this method of assault has been an increased ability to solve mathematical equations and formulae. A skill he happily puts to use explaining and teaching unbelievably complex Mathematics to the strange smelling Earth Beans known as students who populate institutions known as Universities.

George 'The General' Malamas

It has been said you have never seen cool until you have witnessed The General take out his rolling tobacco and papers and roll himself a cigarette while facing down a horde of ravenous Evil-Anti-Funk-Azoids on the battlefield. He cannot be rushed and he will not be flustered, a man of few words his speaks only to utter nuggets of infinite wisdom or immeasurable hilarity. The General’s Weapon of Mass Funkification is a Bass guitar fashioned from a Rod of Thunder the God Thor asked him to hold while waiting for a connecting shuttle at the Jupiter Spaceport. Thor asked to use The General’s phone then walked off with it when he saw a Nordic Princess he’d been trying to avoid ever since a slightly embarrassing drunken Thor’s Day afternoon in Valhalla. If you listen carefully much of this story is detailed in ‘Spaceship : A Cosmic Odyssey in Four Movements’

Talbert ‘Mega-Tal’ Wilson

Also known as 'The Young Master of the Groove". Part Man, Part Metronome the enigma that is Talbert has achieved several astronomical impossibilities in his young life. Eating his way out of the dungeons of Dr Poseur after sleeping for 100 days and dreaming of a mythical chicken that could satisfy his never-ending hunger is merely one. Drum Machine by Night and Body Builder by Day (or maybe it’s the other way round) Talbert is by far the most physically imposing of The Neutronics. However do not let his size and immense strength fool you he is in his own words ‘a really nice guy’. Despite this he managed to instigate what has now passed into Neutronic history as Event X. Although he will categorically state ‘I wasn’t involved’ eye witnesses claim it was his finger on the trigger at the moment of cross channel interference that led to the Event X meltdown. MegaTal’s chosen Weapon of Mass Funkification is of course the Drums his sticks fly through the air battering Evil-Anti-Funk-Azoids with each stroke. Injuries are also inflicted on the Evil-Anti Funk-Azoids by the flying splinters as each wooden stick strikes the drums and cymbals and woe betide any that finds itself caught by the flying debris of a stick as it breaks.

Karis Taylor Supa Soul Sista
The gentle Karis is the latest in a long line of Supa Soul Sistas to grace the ranks of The Neutronics. Little is known of her background but her beauty is unparalleled and her Afro is perfectly spherical.
