Energy Levels : Behind the Scenes of The Neutronics Video Shoot for She’s Gotta Be Pt 2

Greetings Earth Beans

This is Supa Soul Brotha Del. coming at you Live and Funkdafied.

Waking up early is not the easiest thing for me to do. There are some people who have no problem waking up early and they really won’t relate to or sympathise with what I’m trying to get across here. The Neutronics however, don’t seem to be those kind of people. Sunday 5th September 2010 and it’s the first day of shooting for the promo video to the single “She’s Gotta Be”.

Call time is 9.00am and The Neutronics are HURTING. This is just not a good time to be getting musicians to do stuff, granted it’s great preparation for those early morning breakfast shows that we’re gonna have to be doing performances on in support of the album “This is Supa Soul Brotha Del.” but the general consensus among the band was IT’S WAY TOO EARLY as summed up quite nicely by our bass player George.

It’s not just George who feels like he could have done with a few more hours in the warmth and duvet covered comfort of his bed. Supa Soul Brotha Del. is feeling decidedly unenergetic. Now kids the Supa Soul Brotha does not condone the abuse of pharmaceutical or recreational drugs to get you through your day. As Whitney said ‘Crack is Wack’ but it might have perked him up just a little don’t ya think.

One person who didn’t seem to feel the effects of the early start to proceedings was Sitali who was an Honorary Supa Soul Sista for the day. This girl is eternally smiling and full of beans even at 9.00am on a Sunday morning. When asked how she was feeling her response was Supa Souley. I mean wow I can’t hardly string a sentence together at this time of the morning as has been evidenced in several clips but Sitali was feeling Supa Souley good on her.

Well what can one say……not a lot actually.

I’ll leave you with this clip of bass player George revealing some secret talents much to the amazement of Karis.

Love, Peace n Funki Beatz
