Meet The Crew : Behind the scenes of The Neutronics video shoot for She's Gotta Be Pt 5

Greetings Earth Beans this is Supa Soul Brotha Del. coming at you Live and Funkdafied.

It is impossible to make a video without the support of a good crew for filming, directing and getting the ideas out of the mangled mush that is the inside of Supa Soul Brotha Del’s head and onto the screen. Fortunately for The Neutronics we had an amazing crew of professionals to help us make our first video.

Makalla Robotham and Kofi ….. are the brains, brawn, technical experts and artistic genius’s behind Unknown Poets Productions.

Supa Soul Brotha Del. went to them with some sketchy scratchy ideas about the general themes to run though the video and how he wanted it to look. Unknown Productions took those ideas and turned them into a full blown music video in the way only they could. As well as sourcing locations, casting models and actresses and styling them to look to fit The Neutronics intergalatical ideals, they also put together a kick-ass crew to actually capture the madness on camera.

Here they are in their own words

James was the camera operator on both days of the She’s Gotta Be shoot. He spent most of the day figuring out how to get the best shots with Aruk who was our Director of Photography a lot of technical talk about light and shadows and reflections all of which was lost on a Supa Soul Brotha.

Ben was the stills photographer on the first day of shooting at the bandstand in Southwark Park this is what he had to say for himself.

Of course being as we were using a public park there were other events happening at the same time as we were shooting the video. Sky Ride is an initiative by the Mayor’s office to encourage the public to get on their bicycles and get out and see the city of London. They had a pit stop set up just behind the bandstand we were shooting on. The lovely lady working on the pit stop was subjected to all the madness of The Neutronics and forced to listen to She’s Gotta Be on repeat for the entire day we decided to find out how she felt about it

After the lovely Sky Ride lady had told us a little bit about what Sky Ride was we asked her if she’d got tired of hearing the same song over and over and over and over again all day

Well that bodes well for the single then doesn’t. Repeated listens increase the enjoyability of the song now if we can only convince the radio controllers at the BBC and all the other National stations that this is the case we might be able to have the whole world singing along.

That’s all for now Earth Beans but tune in next time for more news from NeutronicTV.

Love Peace n Funki Beatz
